About the event
Join women across the nation by attending a Higher Heights Sister to Sister Salon. Historically a "Salon" discussion was held in a home or venue to discuss issues of the day. These salon's included influential people just like YOU. That's right, research shows that Black Women were the deciding factor in the 2008 and 2012 elections. When we vote, we take our church, sororities, friends and family with us to the polls.
Bring yourself and another sister too (if you can!) as we discuss how we can harness our political power and get-out-the-vote for the upcoming elections.
Open to the public: Higher Heights is a non-profit organization that mobilizes people to the polls. The organization is non-partisan.
Light refreshments will be served.
Dress code: Come as you are! Casual is just fine.
Hosted by 1st Lady Linda R. Hawkins of Shiloh Church of God in Christ
